It was the first meeting of the Committee of Young Directors, the newly-formed arm of the association in its Platinum Jubilee year.“Such committees for the young members exist in other business forums. It helps the young entrepreneurs form a network and interact,” said K.V. Srinivasan, chairman of the association. “Starting with a membership of about 50, the group hopes to see more members in the future.SIMA looks forward to your suggestions and ideas. In the long run you will be the business leaders of the textile industry,” Mr. Srinivasan said.Convenor of the committee Thyagu Valliappa said this was a consortium of people who could think alike.
