To enable the construction of a spacious new building, the B 1 – Big Bazaar Police Station on Vysial Street has been temporarily shifted to the Corporation High School premises at Kempatty Colony. The existing Big Bazaar Police station building will be razed to build a 5,953 sq ft three-storeyed building at an outlay of Rs. 38.24 lakh. The telephone number of the temporary police station is 2306482. The City Police Commissioner, Kanhu Charan Mahali, has clamped regulatory orders under section 41 of the Madras City Police Act in all the 15 police station limits till April 21 midnight.
