Best Youth Award

Mayor R. Venkatachalam (right) presenting the district level best youth award to M. Gowrishankar (left) at a function in Coimbatore recently. M. Gowrishankar residing at Udayampalayam, General Secretary of Bharatha Matha Welfare Association has been conferred the district level best youth award.

He was chosen for the award by the Nehru Yuva Kendra and a panel of experts and the award was presented to him Mayor R. Venkatachalam at a function held in the City recently.

Some of the service rendered by his association included supply of free books and note books to large number of poor students for the last 15-years and was involved in a series of blood donation camps and direct Tsunami relief works.
