City Police Commissioner, C.K. Gandhirajan has ordered the detention of Suran alias Suresh (30) of Ammankulam in Ramanathapuram police limits under Goondas Act. The said accused reported to be a ganja vendor was arrested by the police on April 6 on charges of selling ganja and a case was registered against him under the Narcotic Substances and Psychotropic Substances Act and was remanded to judicial custody at the Central Prison. Considering the involvement of the said accused in sale of ganja and crime cases, the decision to detain him was taken and the orders were served on him at the Central Prison, Coimbatore.
