HSBC Launched Commercial Bank Services
The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) India has launched its commercial banking services in Coimbatore. Puneet Chaddha, Country Head of Commercial Banking of the bank told presspersons here on Tuesday that banking operations included services to retail customers, global corporates and commercial banking. The commercial banking services covered small and medium-scale enterprises, large local companies and mid-sized corporates.Customers looked out for various services from the bank such as banking, trade and export solutions.
The Corporate banking product was revamped by the bank last year. “It is structured to service customers across their life cycle,” he said. Coimbatore was one among the fastest growing cities and “we are excited to be here,” he added. Customers looked out for various services from the bank such as banking, trade and export solutions. The bank also had “serious plans” to support rural services. It had partnered with the Haryana Government for a pilot project for dairy farmers. Depending on its performance, the bank planned to extend it to 18 or 19 other States this year.
