India's 1st Multi-telecom Telephone Directory Released
Getit infoservices on Wednesday released its Getit bizlist, claimed to be India first multi-telecom multi-colour commercial telephone directory for Coimbatore and Tirupur. The first few pages contained emergency services, the civic amenities essential services, public utility and places of worship, he said, adding that every business telephone subscriber from all telecom service providers like BSNL, Airtel, Reliance have a one line free listing. With the city divided into five zones and each business marked in the zone it was located, there was also a seven-page multicolour information on the travel and tourism relating to Coimbatore and Tirupur and nearby towns.
Bizlist would be released in Chennai, Madurai, Salem Tiruchirapalli, Erode, Trivandrum, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Mysore and Bangalore in a phased manner, Mr Gunasekar said, adding that Mumbai and Delhi directories would also be released shortly. With 55 000 entries at present the pages would be increased to 500, which would be available in print, CD Roms E-pages telephony and internet, Mr Gunasekar said. The directory is meant for free distribution.
