Workshop For Primary Level School Teachers
Divyam Educational Services will organise a workshop for primary level school teachers from April 21 to 30 at Dhanwanthari Kalaiarangam. The workshop aims to explore how to use storytelling and puppetry as a means to make learning in school enjoyable. Primary and early mid-school educators (kindergarten to Class IV) can participate.The fee is Rs.1,500 per person.
The topics covered will include story building - various approaches, adapting stories to contexts, converting stories to simple workable scripts, voice exercises, voice modulation, exercises in diction, pronunciation and verbal expression. The second stage of this workshop will focus on creating various types of puppets. It will include role playing, verbal expression and developing body language for each puppet, breathing life into puppets, working the puppets and creating the performance space with low-cost materials.
