13th Sarvodaya Conference
The 13th Sarvodaya Conference will be held at Mahatma Gandhi Ashram, Anaimalai, in Pollachi taluk on May 17 and 18. A release from the Ashram said that the meet would focus on core issues such as prohibition and additional powers for the panchayats. On May 17, a rally would be flagged off by Sengottai Mahatma Gandhi Ashram founder V. Vivekanandan, to stress total prohibition. The rally would be led by Anaimalai Mahatma Gandhi Ashram Managing Trustee, M. Ranganathan.
Cultural programmes for creating awareness on ideologies of Mahatma Gandhi would be held on May 17. The inaugural address would be delivered by Chairman of Sakthi Group N. Mahalingam. Madurai Gandhi Memorial Chairman K.M. Natarajan would preside over the function.
