Anna Varsity VC For 75 % Practical Education
Vice-Chancellor of Anna University, Coimbatore, R. Radhakrishnan on Thursday said that efforts were underway for bringing 75 per cent practical education and 25 per cent text book - based education in the colleges coming under the Univeristy with the approval of the senate. He said that this would totally reverse the present system of education where practical education was only 75 per cent. He was speaking at a workshop on Software Quality organised by the Intellectual Property Rights Centre of the University in association with the Information Technology Department of the Union Government.The workshop would be held for two days. President of Trimentus Technologies of Chennai, S. Ravichandran, Director of the Institute of Management of Anna University, S. Ramanathan, Intellectual Property Rights centre Director, S. Balasubramanian, Registrar of the University, S. Palanisamy and others spoke. 250 entrepreneurs, researchers, students of higher education from various States took part.
