The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) staged a demonstration in front of Red Cross Society Buildings on Huzur Road in the city on Monday in protest against the raise in petroleum prices. The activists reached the place of demonstration in bicycles.

Jabbar; AIADMK floor leader in the Corporation Council, P. Rajkumar; and former MLAs K.P. Raju and K.S. Duraimurugan. The demonstrators raised slogans accusing the Union and State Governments.
