Screening Camps For SHG
Mahalir Thittam of the district administration has been conducting special screening camps from June 5 to classify various women’s self-help groups to extending revolving fund for new groups and financial assistance for existing groups. The camps will go on till June 27. A release from the Collector, V. Palanikumar, said that the camps would identify women’s self-help groups that had completed six months of existence to avail revolving fund and those who had completed one year for the financial assistance. The groups would be graded depending on the number of members, activities and performance. The assistance extended would be for the fiscal year 2008-09.
On June 5 screening camps was held at Periyanaickenpalayam and Thondamuthur Block Development Offices (BDO), on June 6 it was held at Imayam Corporation office and on June 10 it was conducted at the BDO in Tirupur and Pongalur. On June 11, the camp was conducted at TASSAM Corporation, Pollachi South and Madathukulam BDO offices. On June 12, it will be conducted at the BDOs at Avanashi and Sircar Samakulam. On June 13 it would be held at Ward 43 and Ward 29 offices, Sulur, Kinathukkadavu BDOs. On June 14 it would be held at Udumalpet BDO office and on June 17 at Shanti Ashram for Vedapatti and Perur Panchayat federation level SHGs and Anaimalai BDO office.
On June 18 camps would be conducted at Mariyala office, Pollachi North BDO, on June 19 camps would be at Mahalir Thittam office for SAED, COODU besides camps at BDOs office at Gudimangalam and Madukkarai, on June 20 camp would be conducted at BDO office at Karamadai and on June 24 at Annur and Sultanpet BDO office. The camps on June 26 would be at Mahalir Thittam office for Shelter, Peelamedu and Kalapatti block level federations besides at the Municipal Hall in Valparai. On June 27 the camps would be conducted at CMSSS office and Valparai Municipal Hall.
