Training Session

The Window, Centre for English Language Studies, organised a practical training session for its students on personality development and inter-personal skills. More than 19 students in the age group of 11 to 17 were taken for a one-day trekking expedition to Kotagiri as part of the programme.

“Self-development, communication skills, and attitude building cannot be done in classrooms. Students should be given a chance to explore the world around them and in their interaction with people around, learn more about themselves,” said Anuradha Ganesh, Centre Head. “Something like crisis management is more effective when taught on a trek instead of a classroom environment,” she added.

The students also got an opportunity to learn more about the flora and fauna of the region. The students also interacted with A.Bhoopathy, Founder Member and Advisor of the Kotagiri Wildlife Association, who spoke to them about the rich wildlife in the Nilgiris. The centre offers coaching in IELTS, communication skills, self-development, attitude building, leadership and group discussion.
