ERA Opend Coimbatore Chapter
Executive Recruiters’ Association, a non-profit organisation that represents executive recruitment consulting firms in the country, will open its Coimbatore chapter on July 5. According to a release from the association, this will be its ninth chapter in the country. The other centres are located in Pune, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi and Ahmedabad. The association will create a platform for the recruitment industry, establish standards among the members and facilitate sharing of views and solutions on business issues.
It has over 180 recruiting firms in the country as its members. With the growth of information technology, telecom and banking industries and multi-national companies setting up operations in India, executive recruitment has emerged as a specialised profession. It helps organisations identify, evaluate and recruit executives at various levels. The association members adopt a code of ethics and a set of professional practice guidelines that will reflect the value additions to the corporate houses and candidates. The association also facilitated sharing of information and bridging the gap between corporates and the recruiting companies. K.S. Sundar Raman, Executive Director of Bannari Amman Spinning Mills, will inaugurate the Coimbatore chapter.
