Pre-departure Briefing To Students
British Council will organise a pre-departure briefing to students who have received an offer of admission from an institution at the United Kingdom, or, are in the process of applying to one, or, are preparing to leave for the U.K. soon. The briefing will be held at The Residency on July 16 between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. It will cover advice on student visa application and immigration, travel, settling down in the U.K., student loans, accommodation, working part-time, health and finances.
Students will also get to know the latest visa procedures, including the Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS), Biometrics, Student Visitor visa, trusted partners promoting U.K. education, useful documents to submit, information on work during and after studies, etc. There will also be an interaction with alumni who have studied in the U.K. Visa section officials from the British High Commission will be present to offer expert advice.
