A medical team from the cardiology department of PSG Hospital visited Dindigul.The doctors in the team examined 90 children to determine the state of their health, under the ‘Ilam Sirar Irudaya Padukappu Thittam 2008’ scheme that has been launched by the State Government to ensure better healthcare for youngsters. A press release issued here by the hospital said 28 children were found fit for surgery and five of them have been operated upon.Dr. Jagadeesh Kumar, Deputy Director of Health Services, Dindigul, handed over a cheque for Rs. 2.30 lakh to the hospital.
