Public Hearing
The District Collector, V. Palanikumar, has exhorted the members of public, various organisations and forums to participate in the two sessions of public hearing to be held at Coimbatore and Tirupur on Tuesday for eliciting public opinion on the formation of Tirupur district.Special Commissioner and Commissioner for Revenue Administration, Shakthikanta Das, will be chairing the public hearing.It will be held at District Development Council Hall of the Coimbatore Collectorate at 10.00 a.m. and at 4 p.m. at Velan Kalyana Mandapam, Tirupur.The objective of the public hearing session is to elicit the views and opinions of the people and taking them into consideration before bifurcating areas from the Coimbatore district and Erode district for forming the jurisdiction for Tirupur district, officials said.
