Seminar On “Lakshmi in Art, Thought and Literature"
A seminar on “Lakshmi in Art, Thought and Literature” will be organised by the Academy of Archaeology and Science of Ancient India at Vrundavan Complex, Myleripalayam, Pollachi Road, on July 12 and 13. About 40 scholars from various parts of the country are expected to participate. The papers presented will be on varied aspects of Lakshmi (Goddess of wealth in the Indian context).
A session on preservation of mural paintings will be held on July 13. R.Balakrishnan, Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India, will deliver the keynote address. A carnatic music recital by T.M.Krishna will be held at Sri Kamakshi Ambal Temple, R.S.Puram, on July 11.
