He said the fees in Germany were one of the lowest among developed countries and students could easily afford higher education in the country. Mr. Herrmann stressed that research collaborations between India and Germany needed to be strengthened in the light of new issues emerging across the world in agriculture. C. Ramasamy, Vice-Chancellor of TNAU, said that the German Government should consider more joint ventures in the field of agriculture with Indian agricultural institutes, just like those existing in the industrial sector.
