The next round of talks to find a solution to the wage issue of job working powerloom units in the district will be held here on August 28, according to Minister for Handlooms and Textiles, K.K.S.S.R. Ramachandran.He told presspersons here on Sunday that Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi wanted an early solution to the wage issue and did not want the strike to prolong.As per the Chief Minister’s directions, Mr. Ramachandran, Minister for Rural Industries and Animal Husbandry Pongalur N. Palanisamy and Labour Minister T.M. Anbarasan would hold talks with job working powerloom unit owners, textile manufacturers and labour union representatives.
