Fee Waiver Certificate

Vice-Chancellor of Anna University, Coimbatore, R.K. Radhakrishnan, handing over a fee waiver certificate to a student at Park College of Engineering and Tekhnology in Coimbatore. Chancellor of Anna University, Coimbatore, R. Radhakrishnan, launched the ‘merit cum means tuition fee waiver scheme’ and smart card scheme at the Park College of Engineering and Tekhnology on Saturday. Handing over the waiver certificates to 22 students, Mr. Radhakrishnan asked students to develop their communication skills and take part in group discussions for better employment opportunities.

Citing an example of a recent campus interview where students had not performed well, he said it was because they were poor in communication skills and hence were unable to take part in group discussions. “Students should plan their careers when they are in the first year of study itself. This will help the university achieve single digit rejection figures in campus interviews. The university is planning to launch a series of programmes aimed at developing the skills of students,” Mr. Radhakrishnan said.
P. Kanniappan, Advisor of the college, said the percentage of higher education should reach 25 per cent, for the country to become a developed one. “That is why the Government is promoting the coming up of many educational institutions and upgrading them by granting university status.” P.V. Ravi, Chairman of Park Group of Institutions, Anusha Mahesh, Chief Executive, S. Pattabiram, Deputy General Manager, Corporation Bank, and Mohan Kumar, principal of the college, spoke.
