Application Open For British Chevening Scholarship
The British Chevening Scholarship Programme 2009 is now open for applications till December 31, 2008. It is the U.K. Government’s flagship scholarship scheme, aimed at future leaders, opinion formers and decision makers. Applications are invited from talented Indians for the two variants. One is the “Long-term (Open) Scholarship” to undertake a one-year master’s study at leading universities in the U.K., and the other is the “Chevening Gurukul Scholarship for Leadership and Excellence” for working professionals.
The Gurukul Scholarship for Leadership and Excellence is designed for working professionals who have substantial experience in their professional field and are looking for a short-term professional training to expand and consolidate their experience. Twelve exceptional candidates from India will be selected for this programme.
It is a unique 12-week, advanced leadership programme, created by the renowned London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) specifically for India’s future leaders. Each year, the programme enables 12 Indian men and women to participate in an intensive exploration of the challenges of top leadership in a globalising world through a programme of academic studies, field visits and seminars, debates with practitioners, and individual projects of direct personal relevance.
perience Applicants must have at least five years of relevant work experience in their chosen field. They should also have excellent proficiency in English and be computer literate.
