Build and Consumer Expo 2008
The organisers of the Build and Consumer Expo, which began on Thursday at Padmavathi Ammal Cultural Centre here, are expecting more than 50,000 visitors. Not surprising considering the variety of goods on display at its numerous stalls.
Right from electrical appliances to furniture, furnishings, kitchen equipment, art and craft and even interesting property deals, the fair offers a pleasing shopping experience. Organised by Index Trade Series for the second time in Coimbatore, the exhibition has stalls from Chennai, Bangalore, Rajasthan and Gujarat. For those who are planning a vacation, holidaymakers have displayed deals on offer. Fitness freaks can check out the stall selling fitness equipment for homes. Stalls selling paintings, terracotta materials, Feng Shui and Vaasthu figurines, wall hangings, jute and leather bags and footwear are one too many. The flavours from North India are available in the form of the unique pickles of Rajasthan and the northeast.
