Child Workers Rescued

Two child workers were rescued from brick kilns during a raid conducted here on Thursday. The raid was conducted by a team of officials from the Kovai Child Labour Abolition Support Society (Kovai CLASS), Revenue, Health, Inspector of Factories and Police Departments. About 20 kilns were covered during the raids and the child workers were rescued from one of the units. They are aged 13 and 12 and are from Krishnagiri district. The children will be handed over to their parents and will also be helped to join the regular school, according to an official of the Kovai CLASS.
