BoI to open more branches :
Bank of India plans to open four more branches in the zone during this financial year. The zone has 87 branches in 19 districts of the State. It will focus on agriculture and small and medium-scale enterprises besides customer service, a release said.

Investigation Started :
The Periyanaickenpalayam Police are investigating into a case in which Balu alias Nandagopal (28), a car driver, had attempted suicide by cutting his throat after reportedly murdering his wife Indirani (23) and one-and-a-half-year-old son Tarun, near Periyanaickenpalayam on Thursday. Nandagopal has been admitted to a hospital.
