Exhibition On Cancer Awareness
A cancer awareness exhibition organised by the KMCH College of Nursing in Coimbatore. An exhibition on cancer awareness was organised by the KMCH College of Nursing. Chairman of Kovai Medical Center and Hospital Nalla G. Palanisamy inaugurated it and released pamphlets on cancer prevention in both English and Tamil. Students of KMCH College of Nursing carried out door-to-door campaigns on cancer prevention in Veeriampalayam and Sarkarsamakulam villages. The students met about 1,000 families.The exhibition was organised in connection with ‘National Cancer Day’ observed by the Department of Haematology and Medical Oncology along with the KMCH College of Nursing and Student Nurses Association. Doctors and specialists spoke on various issues concerning cancer, its prevention and treatment. Thavamani D.Palanisamy, Trustee, Kovai Medical Center Research and Educational Trust, presided.
