Guinness Book Entry
Kuzhalmannam G.Ramakrishnan, mridangam artiste from Kerala, has entered the Guinness Book of World Records with his 301-hour continuous performance at the Nehru College of Aeronautics auditorium in August.
Mr. Ramakrishnan broke his own record of a 101-hour non-stop recital. His feat falls under the category of the hand-drum marathon, which includes all the percussion instruments in the world, in the Guinness Book. “This is an international recognition for the mridangam,” Mr.Ramakrishnan says. The Nehru College of Aeronautics felicitated him on Monday.
