Seminar On ‘Sports Performances Sciences’
A three-day seminar on ‘Sports Performances Sciences’ for physical education personnel, coaches and players will be held at the Karunya University campus here from November 27 to 29. Organised by the Department of Physical Education, the seminar will feature topics like speed, agility, strength and rotation training, plyometrics, energy system development, dynamic stretching and nutrition to name a few.The guest speakers will be Craig Schinck, co-founder of Sports Performances Sciences International, and Scott, NSCA-CSCA, USAW Club Coach from the United States. The inaugural session will be held at the Elohim Auditorium on November 27 at 10 a.m. Dronacharya Awardee G.E. Sridharan, the head coach of the senior India volleyball team, will be the chief guest. Dr. Paul P. Appasamy, Vice-Chancellor, Karunya University, presides. Anne Mary Fernandez, Registrar, will felicitate.
