Train Change Details
In order to facilitate easy movement of passengers, departure timings of these trains at Podanur will be the same as that of Coimbatore Junction. The Southern Railway has requested the State Transport Corporation to run extra bus services between Coimbatore Junction and Podanur and also to Coimbatore North to enable passengers to board the trains with ease.The following trains would terminate/originate at Coimbatore North instead of Coimbatore Junction; Train No.607/608 Erode – Coimbatore – Erode Passenger, train No.607A/608A Coimbatore – Erode Specials (upto 29th November), train No.2671/2672 Chennai – Coimbatore – Chennai Nilgiri Expresses [the Coimbatore portion of Train No.2671/2672 Chennai – Coimbatore /Mettupalayam Nilgiri Expresses will terminate/Originate at Coimbatore North from 25th November to 12th December 2008 (i.e. the train leaving Chennai on 24th November up to the train leaving Coimbatore on 12th December 2008)
The Mettupalayam portion of the train will run as usual up to Mettupalayam and back without any change] .The following trains will be cancelled fully; train No.2681 Chennai Coimbatore Weekly Express on 29th November, 6th December and 13th December 2008. Train No.2682 Coimbatore – Chennai Weekly Express on 28th November, 5th December and 12th December 2008.
