Mega Youth Rally 2008

Youth Helping Hands (YHH) will organise “Mega Youth Rally 2008” on December 15 to create awareness on global warming, empowerment of the disabled and the orphaned. Around 2,500 people are expected to participate in the rally from VKK Menon Road to VOC Park. People with disabilities from Caliber Trust are also expected to take part. College students have shown great interest in joining the rally, says S.G. Suryah, general Secretary of YHH. “Letters have been sent out to all colleges and the response has been great,” he adds. Those taking part in the rally would water the plants on the roadsides along the way and clear the path of garbage.


A public meeting will be held at the VOC Park Grounds where the members of YHH would talk about the issues concerning children living in orphanages and children with disabilities. The meeting will also discuss the objectives of Voice of the Youth for a Cleaner Environment, a parallel association formed by YHH. Those interested to take part in the rally can contact: S.G.
