Plastics And Rubber Expo 2008
Visitors at a stall in the Plastics and Rubber Expo 2008 at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore on Friday. Innovative Trade Fairs has organised ‘Plastic and Rubber Expo 2008’ here at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex.
The exhibition of plastic and rubber machinery, products, accessories and services has 55 participants and 80 stalls. According to M. Elango and K. Chandra Mouli of Innovative Trade Fairs, machinery, plastic products, accessories, injection moulding machinery and ancillary equipment for plastic product manufacturing machinery have been displayed at the fair, which is on till December 7. The organisers plan to hold the event once in two years and the next edition will have an international exposure. It will also have display of plastic-end products.
The rubber and plastic machinery and product manufacturing is a huge sector in Coimbatore. A large number of machinery are sold here and different sectors use these machinery. Coimbatore is next only to Chennai in manufacturing these machinery and it is growing here, they said. Raw materials, moulders, components, testing equipment master batches, coolers, dryers and weighing machines have also been exhibited. This is a trade show with buyer-seller interface, they said.
