Kongu Kula Varalaru Book Released
Two books titled Kongu Kula Varalaru and Kongu Vattara Vazhakku Solagarathi, penned by R. Ravikumar, were released here recently. According to a release, the books were released at a function held under the aegis of the Dr. N.G.P Trust and Dr. N.G.P. Educational Institutions. Another book called Tamizhosai, brought out by the Department of Tamil of Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College, was also released on the occasion. Releasing the Kongu Kula Varalaru, Sirpi Balasubramaniam, Sahitya Akademi award winner, gave a brief overview about the book.
Actor Sivakumar released the book on Kongu Vattara Vazhakku Solagarathi and impressed upon the students the need for reviving the culture of Coimbatore arts, culture and tradition. Nalla G. Palanisamy, Chairman, Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH), Thavamani Palanisamy, Vice-Chairperson, KMCH, and representatives from the various institutions of the Trust spoke.
