The special teams of the Coimbatore City Police have arrested C. Murugesan (28) of Pudukottai and resolved eight cases of two-wheeler lifting reported in various places in the city. Following a complaint regarding the theft of a motorcycle belonging to A. Rahamathullah of Avanashi from a place in Singanallur police limits, City Police Commissioner, K.C. Mahali and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime and Traffic), N. Kamini constituted special teams led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime – Central), Chandramohan. The accused confessed to his involvement in two-wheeler lifting cases that were reported from many places.
