Applications invited for Fulbright fellowships
United States – India Educational Foundation (USIEF) has announced the annual competition for Fulbright-Nehru and other Fulbright fellowships for Indian citizens for the academic year 2010-2011.
According to a release, the competition is open to students, teachers, lecturers and professionals.They can opt for various programmes for pursuing degree, research, management programmes and doctoral programmes. Deadline for submission of application is July 15, 2009.
The signing of the India-the U.S. bilateral Fulbright agreement on July 4, 2008, has resulted in the two Governments becoming full partners in the implementation of the Fulbright Programme in India. There is also a significant increase in the number of fellowships awarded each year. USIEF expects to offer approximately 85 Fulbright-Nehru fellowships for Indians in 2010.
