DIG assumes office !
P. Sivanandi assumed office as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Coimbatore Range, on Thursday. He replaces M. Ramasubramanian who has been posted as DIG of Police, Armed Police, Tiruchirapalli. Mr. Sivanandi was posted as DIG of Police, Coimbatore Range on October 28, 2008 and had served till February 27, 2009. He was transfered as DIG of Police, Railways, Chennai, during elections to the Lok Sabha. Mr.Sivanandi told reporters that he would ensure the continuance of the system of providing FIR to the complainants.
