கோயம்புத்தூர் நேரலை - இது கோவையின் இதயதுடிப்பு
The Forest Development Agency of the Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary in Kerala abutting the Anaimalai Tiger Reserve in Tamil Nadu has introduced an innovative online wildlife quiz from this August. In a release, Wildlife Warden of the sanctuary Sanjayan Kumar said that the quiz was available on the website
http://www.parambikulam.org/. The objective was to spread the message of wildlife conservation among the people. The quiz was open to all and there would be one winner every month. All the winners from August to December would be called for the live quiz in Parambikulam. Schools, colleges or organisation representing the winner would also awarded a free nature camp for 40 people. Every day, participants could answer five sample questions.
Each question carried a maximum of 20 points. The points would be on the basis of the time taken to answer the questions. A question should be answered within 20 seconds. Correct answers after the stipulated time would not be considered. The participant could try a fresh set of questions the next day. Only in the preliminary rounds, this option was available. “Participant who takes the shortest time to find the correct answers in all the rounds will be selected as the winner of the month. Prize winners will be intimated within 14 days by e-mail or post. The event closes on December 31, 2009,” he said.
