Revised Aavin milk rates announced
A release from Special Officer of Aavin and District Collector P. Umanath said that half-a-litre of toned milk would be sold at Rs. 8.90 for monthly milk procurement cards and it would be Rs. 9.50 for cash sales across the counter. One litre of toned milk would be Rs. 17.75 for cardholders and Rs. 19 for cash sales. In terms of standardised milk, 250 ml would be Rs. 6 for cardholders, Rs. 6.25 for cash sales, half-a-litre would be Rs. 11.75 for cardholders and Rs. 12.25 for cash sales and one litre would be Rs. 23.50 for cardholders and Rs. 24.50 for cash sales. Full cream milk for cash sales would be Rs. 13.50 for half-a-litre and Rs. 27 for one litre.
For the change in rates for the period of September 1 to 15, the existing cardholders would have to remit the difference in cost before September 8 to the respective milk vendors. For further details, the milk consumers could contact the Aavin at 2545529, 2544777, 2480516 and 2322136.
