Temporary rerouting of Coimbatore trains
Due to the dismantling of a road overbridge between Irugur and Peelamedu as part of Coimbatore-Iruugur railway line doubling, a 24-hour line block will be in force between Coimbatore North and Irugur from 00.00 hours to 24.00 hours on September 22.Consequently, following changes in the pattern of train services will be effected for a day (September 22), according to a Southern Railway press release.
All through trains running via Coimbatore Junction will run via Irugur-Podanur without touching Coimbatore Junction on September 22 only.The following trains will not touch Coimbatore Junction but instead will be provided with a stoppage at Podanur.
The revised departure timings of the trains at Podanur (on September 22 only) are given.
