Advisory Committee for traffic and transport solutions
A State-level City Corporation Traffic and Transportation Improvement Advisory Committee would be set up to recommend traffic and transport solutions for Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore, Finance Minister K Anbazhagan announced in Tamilnadu Budget presented in the House today.He said the committee would also have sub- committees each for Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore. With the ultimate objective of making urban life pollution and congestion free, he said the committee would also plan expanding the jurisdiction of these cities. For the first phase, he said Rs 200 crore had been allocated.
