Women take out rally in CoimbatoreCoimbatore, March 9: Seeking 33 per cent reservation for women in all sectors, over 2500 women took out a procession in the Coimbatore city on the occasion of International Women's Day.The procession, under the banner of Tamizhaka Pengal Amaippu (TamilNadu Women Federation), was flagged off by the Coimbatore city Mayor R Venkatachalam in the presence of his deputy, M Karthick.
The women, coming from all the 30 districts in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, raised slogans in support of their demand for 33 per cent reservation in all the sectors.
