'Farmers seminar-2007' in TNAU
New varieties, farm implements and management technologies for the year 2007 would be released by Tamil Nadu Agriculture Minister Veerapandi S Arumugham during the one-day 'Farmers seminar-2007' here on June 23.Besides announcing new welfare schemes for the farmers, a special exhibition highlighting the latest farm technologies would be held during the seminar, to be held at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU).'Velanmai Semmal' award would be presented to five progressive farmers and TNAU scientists would present seminars on new technologies and emerging issues, a TNAU release said.Tamil Nadu Rural Industries Minister Pongalur N Palanisamy, Members of Parliament and Assembly, top officials of development department, scientists and farmers would attend the programme.
