Seminar on ‘Business Opportunities in Bahrain.’
Coimbatore:Some of the key sectors of focus for promotion of investment in Bahrain are financial, industrial, education and healthcare, tourism and business services, said Ganesh Raja, Country Manager of the Economic Development Board of the Kingdom of Bahrain.The Exim Bank, the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore, and the development board organised a seminar here on Friday on ‘Business Opportunities in Bahrain.’Mr. Ganesh Raja said Bahrain was an entry point to the markets in that region. Some of the advantages for those who wanted to start manufacturing in Bahrain were businesses could be 100 per cent foreign owned, a liberal tax regime and over 60 trade agreements with other countries.With its location advantage, strong transport infrastructure and competitive factors for production, it had several financial institutions and companies from other countries. The interested companies should look at the entire region as a market and should look at long-term presence.
