With vital clues on hand about the accused, special police teams formed by the City Police to probe the burglary in a private bank on Cross Cut Road on Sunday night are confident of a breakthrough at the earliest.The burglary was noticed when the bank was re-opened on Monday. There were no signs of attempts to break open the doors or windows of the bank.Gold, cash missing.However, the burglars had opened the doors of the bank by using keys and decamped with at least 4 kg of gold and nearly Rs. 10 lakh, the police said.Investigations led to suspicion on the role of insiders involved in the burglary. Police suspect a room mate of the bank staff to be behind the burglary, since he was found absconding after the incident and with his credentials proving to be not reliable.
