The special teams of forest officials from Sirumugai in Coimbatore and Bhavanisagar in Erode district have arrested a person and recovered a tiger skin from him on Tuesday.A joint team led by Forest Range Officers, A. Selviah Vijayakumar and Mohan, raided the thatched hut of Kumaran in Pethikuttai (who was rearing cattle in a hamlet in the reserve forests).The raids led to the seizure of a 6.5 ft long and 3.5 ft wide tiger skin and two tooth of a male tiger aged about 20 years. It is learnt that the accused poisoned the tiger to death agitated over its frequent killing of his cattle.
