Amrita University signs MoU with NAL

Venkat Rangan, Vice-Chancellor of the university (left), is in the picture.Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) here on Saturday for cooperative programmes in training and research.The MoU will involve collaborative programmes in areas to be mutually decided. NAL will provide necessary facilities and guidance to the undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral students of Amrita for the conduct of academic studies and research programmes, according to a university press release.Some potential areas of collaboration will be computational structural mechanics, aerodynamics, computational fluid mechanics, propulsion, design and analysis of aircraft structures and material science. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham will recognise NAL as a research centre for the university.The MoU was signed in the presence of A.R. Upadhya, Director, NAL, Brahmachari Abhayamrita Chaitanya, Chief Operating Officer, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, and Dr. P. Venkat Rangan, Vice-Chancellor of the university.
