+2 Examination Starts Today
The Plus Two examinations for 2008 will be on from March 3 to 24. Students from 326 Government, corporation, municipality, aided, private, Matriculation and Anglo-Indian schools will appear for the examinations.According to a release from the Chief Educational Officer, 16,434 boys and 20,953 girls totalling 37,387 candidates from Coimbatore, Pollachi and Tirupur will appear for the examinations in 88 centres.37,387 candidates from Coimbatore, Pollachi and Tirupur will appear for the examinations
The venues for private candidates in Coimbatore are as follows: C.S.I. Boys Higher Secondary School, St. Michaels Boys Higher Secondary School, Devanga Higher Secondary School, Corporation Higher Secondary School, Selvapuram, C.M.S Matriculation Higher Secondary School and Government Higher Secondary School, S.S. Kulam.For those in Tirupur, the centres are, K.S.C. Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Nanjappa Municipality Boys Higher Secondary School and Government Higher Secondary School, Bujanganur.The centres in Pollachi are: Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Udumalpet, Municipality Girls Higher Secondary School, Pollachi, and Government Higher Secondary School, Valparai.
For smooth conduct of examinations, a total of 2,882 persons have been drafted for examination duty at the various centres.Tenth standard examinations for the State Board, Matriculation and Anglo-Indian schools will begin on March 25 and go on till April 10. A total of 61,446 candidates will appear for the examinations.
