They must learn how to change the teaching pattern to suit the changing requirements, Ramesh Ghanda, Dean, Faculty of Education, Kakatiya University, Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, said here on Saturday. Delivering the graduation day address at the Sri Kalaivani College of Education, he impressed upon the graduating teachers that the profession of a teacher was a very difficult one. Highlighting the impact of mass media, he said: “Its impact is very high. Teachers should take pains to clarify the doubts of students. Otherwise, they will seek wrong sources to get their doubts cleared. They carry tonnes of information. Teachers should aid them as to what is wrong and right.” “Do perform competencies in the classroom. Interact constantly with the students. Taking frequent leave will affect a class full of students. Teachers should learn from examples such as former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam,” Mr. Ghanda said. Principal K. Kumarasamy and Correspondent R. Krishnaswamy spoke.
