Made In Coimbatore Website Launched

The Lions Club of Coimbatore Gems has launched a website for its industrial expo to be held from April 24 to 27. The website ( http://www.madeincoimbatore.com/) will have information about the organisers, exhibitors, their company profile and products.The fair will have products manufactured only in Coimbatore. According to N.S. Kumar, chairman of the exhibition, with 150 stalls, the expo will have electrical and electronic, solar energy, household and healthcare products. It will have industrial goods too. A catalogue show will also be held and micro industries can display catalogues at concessional rates. Mr. Kumar said that eight seminars would be organised on various subjects. The Lions Club will also hold an exhibition of the products made here in other parts of the country by joining hands with the Lions Clubs in the respective areas. This will help the manufacturers here reach out to customers in other areas too.
Mr. Kumar said that cost is a major deterrent for small and cottage units to participate in trade and consumer fairs. This expo will eliminate this by structuring the tariff at a reasonable level. Coimbatore District leads the rest of India in manufacture of several products.
