Rural Industries Minister Pongalur N. Palanisamy speaking at the Thanksgiving Day celebrations of Avinashilingam University for Women in the city on Saturday. It is not enough if education is scientific. It has to stimulate the intellect, should be skill-oriented and firmly grounded in culture, Rural Industries Minister Pongalur N. Palanisamy said here on Saturday. Speaking at the Thanksgiving Day celebrations of the Avinashilingam University for Women, he asked students to be proactive and participatory citizens of the country rather than mere onlookers.
He urged the students to cultivate integrity, character, decision making capacity, hard work and above all the determination to succeed
