Bharathiar University will get a Department of Communications and Media Studies this academic year. According to a release from the university, the department will offer MA in Journalism and Mass Communication. Diploma in Public Relations and Advertising too be offered. Students, on completion of the course, will be qualified to work in the print media, electronic media, in the animation field, besides others. Graduates can apply for for the course. Those interested can collect the applications from the university or obtain it by post. Last date for receipt of filled-in applications is June 30.
