BU Encourage Part-time Working

In a bid to encourage students take up part-time working, Bharathiar University will launch a “University Centre for Students for Part-time Employment Service.” According to Vice-Chancellor G. Thiruvasagam, the centre, to be located at C.S.I. Bishop Appasamy College of Arts and Science, will serve as a facilitation office for job seekers and job providers. This scheme of the university comes close on the heels of the Vice-Chancellor’s decision to permit students take up part-time jobs on the campus.

Interested candidates can register with the university on bharathiuni@gmail.com. Employers too can register on the same id. The centre representatives will shortlist the candidates and suggest them to the employers according to their requirement. It will be done free of cost. “Most of the colleges get over by 3 p.m. There is enormous potential for students to make use of the leisure time to pursue a job. This will help them gain experience and earn too,” the Vice-Chancellor said.
